Do you want to learn about how to work with personally identifiable information? Collect government data or health data? Do you have a question about consumer privacy? Or are you launching a new financial services product?

Over the last couple of years many government agencies have created departments to allow start ups the opportunity to learn more, and ask questions about they regulated spaces in which they operate. These programs allow Ontario start-ups to ask questions about regulation , while also assisting companies navigate regulatory issues that may arise as their businesses grow.

Representatives from the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, the Ontario Information and Privacy Commissioner, and the Ontario Securities Commission will give a brief presentation about the work they are doing to achieve this goal and speak about how they have worked with a variety of companies in the past. Presenters will be available afterwards for Q&A and an informal networking session.

This is an informal information session meant to raise awareness about the regulatory supports that exist for start-ups at various stages of growth. This event is a great way to learn more about key government resources that have been hard to access in the past, and build connections with a variety of key individuals in government who are passionate about building a thriving start up ecosystem and keeping government moving at the speed of innovation.
