This Community Conversation is being presented free for social workers, their clients, and the general public.  It is not CEU eligible.

Presented in partnership with NASW Assurance Services.

Divorce related claims are a frequent claim that the NASWRRG encounters and which are covered.    Our claims experience shows that the practitioner is frequently caught in the “mud-slinging” battle between divorcing spouses, usually with children involved, and the practitioner inevitably gets covered in mud as well.  Most professional liability policies exclude coverage for this peril, or require extensive legal steps, waivers, and expensive and limited coverage conditional endorsements prior to professional services being rendered in this sticky area.
