 Vibrant Emotional Health’s Crisis Emotional Care Team is standing up a two-hour Just In Time training to provide volunteer behavioral health clinicians with important, culturally relevant methods to offer care to those impacted by the invasion of Ukraine. Led by a team of Disaster Mental Health experts, volunteers will learn best practices in crisis response post emergency situations; addressing acute traumatic stress and also specific cultural keys to integrate in providing care.

 

This training will be provided in the following languages simultaneously:

  • Ukrainian
  • Russian
  • Spanish
  • Polish
  • Romanian
  • English

The Crisis Emotional Care Team (CECT) provides just-in-time support and care for those in the acute as well as longer term recovery phases of a natural or human-caused disaster or crisis. Our team fosters individual and community resiliency by training emotional care providers to work collaboratively with those affected – to build capacity, self-efficacy, and the ability to apply standards of excellence and best practices. This event is also co-sponsored by the New York County Psychiatric Society (NYCPS).
