Mindful Living and Wellbeing runs a Teen Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Group Skills Course.
This weekly group will teach coping skills for managing tough emotions and changing behaviour.
The course covers:
Mindfulness: for awareness of emotions, improved control of thinking, behaviour and impulses.
Distress Tolerance: for crisis management and tolerating difficult and intense emotions.
Emotion Regulation: for changing the intensity of emotions, understanding emotions and reducing unwanted emotions.
Interpersonal Effectiveness: for improved communication, forming and looking after relationships, ending toxic relationships and reducing conflict.
Middle Path Skills: for reducing unwated behaviours and increasing desirable behaviours.
Teens and Parent/Carers will learn these highly effective skills in a welcoming and comfortable group class.
