Have you ever wondered what it takes to configure a DHIS2 instance? Do you want to get to the top of the latest and greatest DHIS2 functionalities and improve your ability to create meaningful data analytics?

If you answered yes, then this you won’t want to miss this 2-day DHIS2 training course. Using gamification, you will have the chance to configure a DHIS2 instance and hands-on exercises will provide a deeper understanding of the comprehensive and powerful capabilities for data analytics and visualization that DHIS2 offers.

Day 1: A-Z of DHIS2 configuration

Today, DHIS2 is the world’s largest health management information system platform. 2.4 billion people live in the 68 countries where DHIS2 is used, and with the inclusion of NGO-based programs, DHIS2 is in use in more than 100 countries.

The DHIS2 platform boasts data warehousing, visualization features, and the possibility for data users and policymakers to generate analyses from live data in real-time. From the beginning, priority has been on embracing new technology while also ensuring a robust solution that will work in resource-constrained settings.

In this session, you will learn what it takes to implement DHIS2 and the major hurdles to overcome for successful implementation. Using gamification, you will configure a DHIS2 instance that fits a specific use case (e.g. M&E, Education, Surveillance, Project Management)

Day 2: DHIS2 Data Analytics and Visualization

DHIS2 offers comprehensive and powerful capabilities for data analytics and visualization. This session will focus on understanding these capabilities and how to use them for data-driven decision making, monitoring of data quality, identifying gaps in information and issues in data quality, spotting outliers, viewing trends, and using visualizations to tell a story about data held within DHIS2.

DHIS2 has been greatly improved over the last releases with new apps for data visualization, maps, and dashboards, and participants will get extensive opportunities to try out these applications during practical training sessions. These apps offer a completely new look-and-feel and a vast range of new features.

This course offers a mix of facilitator presentations and hands-on exercises. It will be taught by highly experienced DHIS2 experts who will be able to answer any question you may have.
