About the clinic

Mary's clinics offer the education and safe opportunities to practice working through situations where horses may be fearful or resistant to strange objects. And boy does she have some weird ones! We all know a well seasoned horse is a joy to ride, but since no horse is bombproof, how do you get there? We work on it - learning about how to read the horse and apply the right supports at the right time. We will be working on the ground and in the saddle through a variety of challenges. We will work as a group, using the power of the herd and managing our own responses to stimuli.

  • Exact schedule of events TBD, stay tuned!
  • Due to nature of this clinic, helmets are required for anyone under 18 and strongly encouraged for adults.
  • A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. Auditors must register by May 15 to get a lunch.
  • Weather permitting, we will be in the outdoor arena and might also work on the obstacle course.

Registration and payment

  • The clinic is limited to 12 riders and both days are full, unlimited auditors.
  • Rider fee is $125, you can sign up for the wait list in case of openings.
  • Auditors $20, due upon registration.
  • You can pay online with a credit card or paypal, offline with a personal check or cash. Download the registration form here.
  • Riders are welcome to audit the day they do not ride.
  • Non-Lakeview horses must have proof of negative coggins. Paddocks and camping on site are available for an additional charge - contact Kelly Murphy for more information.
