External stressors add additional pressure to all relationships, especially our closest relationship. Navigating COVID-19 quarantines, additional work/life balance stressors, and parenting 24/7 can be the perfect storm for all relationships to develop patterns of disconnection and conflict. Consider participating in DeeperMarriage- an online group experience based on our in person Cherished Retreat designed specifically for couples to learn a language to become more accessible, responsive, and engaged. Couples will learn about adult attachment styles, identify and make sense of negative patterns of relating, explore blocks to connection, find a common language to understand conflict and engage in a repair conversation, discover link between physical and emotional intimacy, and establish rhythms of lasting connection! Use this time of quarantine to build a stronger, deeper relationship. Group size is limited and meets 1.5 hr week for 6 weeks. Reinvent Date night and settle in for this Friday night investment in your relationship.
More about Deeper Marriage:
We take ourselves, both our beauty and our brokenness, with us into every relationship. A life long commitment to have and to hold, to love and to cherish another does not come without experiencing moments of disconnection and hurt. Whether you are newly married or have been dancing through life together for many years, it is common for couples to experience moments of disconnection. What if you were able to make sense of this disconnected cycle and make space to learn new ways of seeing your relationship through the lens of attachment while journeying together to foster a more secure bond?
Join us for an online, experiential, and faith based marriage group, where relationship specialist Sharon Hicks, LPC will walk couples through research proven methods of identifying and de-coding negative communication patterns, help couples learn how to interpret bids for connection, and invite couples to take time in guided conversations to foster lifelong, meaningful connection. You will have the opportunity to participate in this event from the comfort of your own home! You can expect to walk away from this experience gaining new insight and tools to continue these conversations as you strengthen your connection with your spouse. It is possible to strengthen your bond and learn new ways of seeing and being with eachother as you learn new moves in your relationship dance!

What past participants are saying about our in-person marriage retreats:
"The concepts were different than anything we had experienced previously and gave us a whole new way to look at why we react the way we do when there is discord in our relationship. Such a useful resource!"
"I valued the intentional conversations I was able to have with my spouse and it was helpful to understand how to connect in a conversation that could be just a few minutes or a few hours."
"This process highlighted and gave me hope for things that I had had previously been ready to give up on ever changing in our relationship."
This group is intended to function as a psychoeducational process group and is not intended for couples in active addiction, abusive, or affair. Prior to the start of group couples will participate in a 15 min screening call to ensure proper fit for this group.
