The DCF 101 will describe the advances within the Department of Children and Families to maintain the safety, permanence, and well-being of the children and families the Department serves. This training provides an overview of current child welfare best practice social work case practice.  The child welfare practices presented in this training include development, interpersonal relationships, and environmental stress and their specific impact on the safety and well-being of children and parental functioning.  The information provided will include an overview of DCF's current child welfare practice mode.  Structured Decision Making, Considered Removal Teaming.  Fatherhood Engagement and other key approaches to working with families involved in the child welfare system.
