This fundraising event to benefit the Butte County Sheriff’s Mounted Posse is being co-hosted by the Posse and Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea. The event has limited participants and open exclusively to individuals who hold a valid CCW permit issued by the Butte County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO).
Participants will have the rare opportunity to shoot at the training facility used by BCSO deputies, receive instruction on home defense from the BCSO SWAT team, practice “shooting on the move” drills and compete in a shooting competition with Sheriff Honea – the best shooter will win a Glock 19 pistol. Participants will be treated to lunch and receive a presentation on the by Sheriff Honea.
As part of the $300 cost of admission, participants will also receive 50 rounds of ammunition (45 Cal, 40 Cal, 38 Cal or 9mm), a cool t-shirt commemorating the event, a range bag and other shooting accessories. Participants will also be able to purchase raffle prize tickets for a chance to win firearms and other great items.
Participants may bring their own handgun to shoot, which will need to be inspected for safe functionality by a BCSO Range Master. Participants will also be required to sign a “waiver of liability and hold harmless” form. After completing the sign-up process through this site, participants will receive an email with instructions on how to select their t-shirt size, the caliber of ammunition they will be shooting and other pertinent event details.
Space is limited, so don’t wait. Sign up now so you can come out and “Shoot with the Sheriff.”
