CONVERSATION COURSE FOR BEGINNERS 1B AND 1C
(The course is not suitable for complete beginners)

TOPICS

‘My Family and Other Animals’ (talking about family and friends, expressing likes and dislikes, describing people, talking about hobbies)

Let’s Have Fun (arranging a meet up, going to cinema/ theatre/ pub/ restaurant, buying tickets, menu and ordering food in restaurants)

Holiday Ahoy! (booking a hotel, transportation, buying tickets, small talk)

Oh No! (unexpected situations; at the doctors, formal and informal communication, lost in a city –asking for directions)

OUTLINE

The focus of this course is to improve students’ ability to express themselves in everyday situations and become more confident with normal spoken interaction. The emphasis is on development of students’ conversational skills. Class activities include dialogues, role-plays and games.
