Come and learn how to make your own personal fashion plate drawing!

A croquis (pronounced “crow-key”) is the sketch of a body and in terms of fashion, it is a body wearing a garment design. In simplest terms, it’s the drawing you see on the front of every pattern envelope you’ve ever bought.

A custom croquis is an invaluable tool because you can sketch that cute new pattern design directly on your own body sketch and evaluate how it will look before you even purchase the pattern. Learn how to evaluate your proportions and balance points and make flattering garments based upon that knowledge. Discover how “circumference” is not the same thing as “depth” on your body and how to make clothes that fit your better.

A list of required materials will be provided to all students prior to class.
