The workshop on Courageous Conversations will give participants useful skills, tools, and spark their confidence as they explore how to breakdown the concepts of being radically candid. Participants will gain insights both in how to give feedback in both criticism and praise along with how to also receive feedback while adopting more of a growth mindset.

The content of the workshop is backed by research from Dr. Brene Brown and bestselling author Kim Scott with her framework on radical candor.

Learning Objectives:

Participants will learn what organizations are looking for in future leaders

Participants will understand why we tend to avoid honest conversations, but why we crave them

Participants will learn what will happen to the organization collectively if the feedback is avoided

Participants will learn how to deliver feedback in both criticism and praise by applying the radical candor framework and courageous conversation starters

Participants will learn when they are ready to give feedback

Participants will learn how to deal with emotions when they appear during courageous conversations

Participants will practice these new tools and insights by giving feedback to each other through role-playing

Participants will gain new confidence and self-awareness around feedback and communication

Testimonials:

We cannot thank Natalie enough for facilitating such an honest and vulnerable training session for our team! Recognizing the skill set of our clinicians, Natalie found innovative ways to flesh out our existing knowledge while imparting so much new wisdom on what it means to partake in courageous conversations.

As a facilitator, Natalie was warm, relatable, and charismatic. Her ability to offer up personal examples from her own life allowed us to engage with the information and reflect on the ways that these skills will serve us in both our personal and professional roles.
