Amy Rust, LCSW*, CPS*, the School Social Worker at Frank Church High School and Jennifer Henderson, Executive Director of the Boise Public Schools Foundation will talk about how vulnerable, at-risk students are supported academically, socially and psychologically. Amy’s perspective will be from the standpoint of Frank Church High School, while Jennifer’s lens will be the community support and philanthropic side of supporting Frank Church as well as district-wide schools. The AAUW Boise Branch will donate all food supplies brought to the November meeting to Frank Church High School. Beginning in January, food supplies will again go to the Boise State Food Pantry but women’s sanitary supplies will be donated to Frank Church every month going forward.
A social hour with a no-host bar will begin at 5:00 pm in the Aspen Room.
Dinner will be served at 6:00 pm, followed by the program at 6:30 pm.
