In this talk Oren will define contemplative practices and describe a number of ways in which they are integrated into higher education curricula in the past decade. This includes a number of curricular framings, which shape these practices' educational aims. Some of these aims concern student well-being and academic achievements but the more interesting applications concern contemplative teaching and learning aimed at personal transformation and scientific inquiry. Oren will give some examples of these application and offer a framework for understanding the place of these practice in higher education.
