This Community Conversation is being presented free for social workers, their clients, and the general public.  It is not CEU eligible.

The 2022 theme for social work month is the Time is Right for Social Work, it captures the strength, commitment, and best of who social workers are and what we do at our core. In the past two years we have struggled together through the COVID-19 pandemic, fighting social injustices, systemic racism, and police brutality in Black and Brown communities. In the face of many losses, did we ever think the fate of Roe v. Wade would be in jeopardy or Toni Morrison books would be burned? As a nation and global community, we have gone through a lot, and it is evident that social workers are needed more than ever.

In this one-hour webinar, we will look closely at our core values, relational stance, and discuss how we can model and support people connecting, centering personhood and dignity, and investing in their shared humanity. Creating transformative experiences of mattering that lead people to turn towards one another in solidarity.

As Desmond Tutu said, “my humanity is bound up in yours, for we can only be human together.”

Webinar information will be sent to you in your confirmation email. If you don't receive your confirmation email, please check your spam folder.
