Successful media events: how, where, when and why?

Commtract is very excited to announce the launch of a media training workshop hosted by Liz Stephens
In a communications career spanning more than 15 years, Liz Stephens has led PR for some of the largest media events and campaigns in Australia - and also for some of the smallest and most effective. In this workshop, Liz uses practical real life examples to take you through what works, what doesn’t, and why.

The workshop will cover:
  • Media event strategy (including when not to run an event)
  • Planning and timing
  • What to do on the day
  • When things go wrong and how to salvage it
  • How to incorporate technology successfully (including VR)
Take away practical knowledge you can apply to your own media events, as well as templates and checklists.

Who will this suit?
  • Commtractors working in communications roles who don’t run media events on a regular basis.
  • Anyone wanting to brush up their skills for a forthcoming launch.
  • Communications professionals working in all sectors, but particularly anyone working with a lean or smaller organisation.
Lunch provided. Chatham House Rules apply.
Be sure to bring along a notebook and all your questions for an intensive troubleshooting Q&A at the end.
