Course Description
This commercial course will provide an overview of the major changes in the 2015 International Energy Conservation Code, but most importantly provide attendees with a solid understanding of how to use the code in carrying out their typical day-to-day activities. The course focuses primarily on the 2015 IECC, but will also point out major differences or provisions in ASHRAE 90.1 2013.
Upon taking this course, attendees will…
1. Understand the major changes in the 2015 IECC.
2. Understand how to use the Energy Code efficiently to find answers to questions that arise during design and field inspections.
3. Recognize the relationship between Energy Code Provisions and best building practices – the “whys” behind the provisions.
