Learning to write code for the Web can be easy and fun. In this four hour workshop, you'll learn the basics needed to create web sites using HTML and CSS. Step by step lessons and exercises packed with examples will guide you through the process of structuring and designing a simple web page. By the end of the workshop you will have designed your first web page using the skills learned.
What you will learn in this workshop:
How to write clean, standards-compliant HTML and CSS.
How to create and structure HTML documents using common tags, adding hyperlinks and images.
How to write CSS rules and apply styles using stylesheets.
How to use CSS to control color and typography.
How to use selectors: classes, IDs, and spans.
