Accommodation: This is a non residential course. However, discounted accommodation is available if booked via the SCA in advance. The orientation staff will be meeting in the Bar on the Friday and Saturday evenings. All delegates are welcome to join for dinner and/or drinks/discussion afterwards. Bar meals are available.
Preparation: Further precourse information, reading and some pre-course tasks will be circulated at least 2-weeks before the orientation event.You will need to allocate some time prior to the event to ensure you are able to complete this essential preparation.
The emphasis of this two day orientation programme is to ensure that potential tutors and assessors understand what is required to deliver and assess the coach award programmes. From this you will be set up to start delivering and working through your action plans (where required).
The programme is classroom based and will not involve water-based activities. Here’s an overview of the content we will be covering:
