Do you have a DSLR camera but find it a little scary? Are you unsure of what all of the different settings mean? Would you like to take better photographs of your children, pets, or travels? I know exactly how daunting your camera can be! I’m here to break things down in an easy to learn way. I will guide you through all of the wonderful things your camera can do and provide lots of guided practice time.

It wasn't that long ago that I took awful photographs and had no idea what all of the buttons on my camera meant (to be truthful, I still take awful photos sometimes - I just don't show them to anyone). I would see something, photograph it, and then be frustrated that the image on the back of my camera did not match what I saw with my eyes. Learning what all of the buttons on my camera did allowed me to go from taking mediocre photographs to photographs that I was proud of.

This course is not about selling you on a new camera - what you have is enough (the image above was photographed with the cheapest DSLR Canon sold at the time). It is all about allowing you to use the tools you have to take great photographs.

Hi! I'm Lindsey! I am the lead photographer behind Lindsey Parkin Photography. My love of photography and love stories are combined perfectly in photographing weddings and I am so happy I have found my passion in life. In recent years, I have been fortunate enough to travel internationally for my work and have had various images published. I first picked up a camera after getting a new 8-week-old puppy, Baloo, and was absolutely hooked, spending time exploring and gaining knowledge about photography. My interests included everything from landscape and nature photography to portraits, newborn sessions, and pet photography. While I absolutely enjoy photographing all of these, weddings have always pulled me a little harder in their direction. I am so excited to have the opportunity to share some of my knowledge with you! www.lindseyparkin.ca FAQs How can I contact the organizer with any questions? I would love to talk with you!
