IStructE Regional Group Committee is inviting you to a webinar (Hybrid Event) by Dr. Ghanim Kashwani, PhD., CEng., MICE – Board Member in Society of Engineers (SoE-UAE), on the topic “Circular Economy Role in improving Sustainability of the Construction Industry”.
The civil engineering and construction industry is usually highlighted as primary contributing factors for resource consumption and scarcity. Many researchers perceive that as a normal event with the respect to the high demand for construction that comes concerning the growing world population. As a consequence of this demand, a need for resources and energy efficiency becomes extremely critical and vital. The circular economy could be presented as one of the potential factors to regulate the construction industry with a circular business model. The reason that the professionals highly suggest this mechanism is due to its suitability with the vibrant and dynamic nature of the construction industry that usually causes a communication gap between the main stakeholders. This lecture will cover in general the challenges and potentials of Circular Economy Role in improving Sustainability of the Construction Industry.

Note that the UAE Regional Group AGM will be held from 7:00 to 7:30pm followed by the seminar from 7:30 to 8:30pm.This is a hybrid event (physical and online).
The event will take place at Herriot-Watt University, Al Sufouh, Knowledge Park, Dubai. Note that all attendees are required to be fully vaccinated to attend the event physically.
