The Experience:

Rockefeller Center, both with its iconic theater and legendary tree, have become synonymous with the holiday season in NYC. And with things looking a little different this holiday season, we thought it would be fun to explore some of those theatrical holiday traditions. Join Broadway Up Close’s Tim Dolan as he explores some of the iconic shows seen by millions every Christmas. He is sure to bring some Broadway cheer to your holiday season…and maybe even a camel fun fact or two!

Instructor Bio:

Tim moved to the Big Apple shortly after graduating high school to pursue a career in the arts. On the small screen, Tim was featured on Season Two of HBO's Boardwalk Empire. Onstage, Tim was the Dance Captain in the Off-Broadway revival of Once Upon A Mattress starring Jackie Hoffman and John "Lypsinka" Epperson. He also performed as Abraham in the long-running hit musical Altar Boyz. His other acting credits include the National Tours of Altar Boyz and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes as well as numerous regional credits. He is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association. As an arts educator Tim was on faculty at Rosie's Theatre Kids, Rosie O'Donnell's arts organization for many years. Combining his storytelling skills as an actor, and his love for Broadway history, Tim created Broadway Up Close Walking Tours in 2010. Over the past decade the company has established six different tour experiences including an interior tour of Broadway’s oldest theater, the Hudson. In 2019 he opened a freestanding gift shop in the middle of Times Square that offers custom, unique Broadway merchandise. And putting his love of Broadway marquees at the forefront, Tim created the BROADWAY sign that is quickly becoming a Times Square staple.
