"A true home is a place where you feel comfortable and at ease. You don't want to go
anywhere else anymore. You feel so at home, so at ease. Have you found such a place?"
~ Thich Nhat Hanh

With this offering, we are creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming place to explore
Mindfulness and Self-Compassion. We are inviting you to bring your authentic self, even that
which lies beneath. Together we can hold a space for what happened in the past, for the
feelings we harbor, and move forward with wholeness and pride.

In this program, we will:
• Better understand what Mindfulness is and is not, both the science and the experiential
practices
• Begin to consciously and systematically work with our own stress, pain, illness, and the
challenges and demands of everyday life
• Help restore within ourselves a balanced sense of well-being, including an increased
awareness of all aspects of ourselves
• Engage in practices of Mindfulness and Self-Compassion, which involve learning how
we can explicitly comfort and care for ourselves in this moment

We will use various techniques, including guided meditations and small and large group
dialogue and sharing.

Individuals who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender are welcome. The “+”
recognizes that no acronym can cover all included individuals, such as Intersex, Non-Binary,
and so on. Please know you are welcome too. Allies to the LGBT+ community are respectfully
asked not to attend this group to allow for a space of shared experience.

Open to Beginner and Experienced Meditators. No special skills are required nor expected.

Come exactly as you are!
