We take ourselves, both the beauty and the brokenness, with us into every relationship.  A life long commitment to have and to hold, to love and to cherish another does not come without experiencing moments of disconnection and hurt. Whether you are newly married or have been dancing through life together for many years, it is common for couple's to experience moments of disconnection. What if you were able to make sense of this disconnected cycle and make space to learn new ways of seeing your relationship through the lens of attachment while journeying together to foster a more secure bond?

Join us for a 1.5 day experiential and faith based marriage retreat (Friday evening 6:00pm-8:30pm & Saturday 9am-5pm, lodging is not included) for you and your spouse, where relationship specialist Sharon Hicks, LPC will guide a small group of couples through research proven methods of identifying and de-coding negative communication patterns in which couples can often become stuck, help couples learn how to interpret bids for connection, and invite couples to take time in private guided conversations to foster lifelong, meaningful connection.  You can expect to walk away from the retreat with new insight and tools to continue these conversations as you strengthen your connection with your sweetheart.  It is possible to strengthen your bond and learn new ways of seeing and being with eachother as you learn new moves in your relationship dance!

 Retreat package includes:

  • Light snacks and beverages throughout retreat
  • Breakfast and lunch September 21
  • Notebook and relationship toolbox
  • Door prizes!

What past participants are saying:

"This retreat was unlike any other marriage retreat we have attended in the past and we valued the time we got to spend together in private conversations while enjoying the benefit of learning alongside other couples."

"The relational and experiential delivery of the concepts taught at the retreat were engaging and influential in understanding how I can better love my spouse and really identify ways to improve our relationship."

"We have been married 50 years and feel this experience has helped give us the keys we have been missing to unlock our negative cycle.  Thank you for the work you do.  It is never too late to learn new dance steps!"

Space is limited, so register today to reserve your spot!

I am passionate about faith, family, and relationships. My goal for clients is to help them engage in deeper and more meaningful ways with the things that matter most to them. My hope is that every individual that enters my office feels seen and heard as they actively engage in the counseling process and explore their own unique story and passions. As we look below the surface level of often distressing emotions and behaviors, we begin to explore deeper underlying heart felt beliefs about self and others. I take the deep dive with my clients to difficult personal and relational spaces to help them shed light and hope into some of the most difficult and distressing experiences in their stories. We journey together towards wholeness, healing, restoration, and improved connection with the things and people that matter most to them. When I am not in the office I enjoy playing Bach on the piano, sipping coffee with friends and getting new stamps in my passport as I travel with my husband and four children around the globe exploring this beautiful world. Having lived in south east Asia as a family for a season we were given the gift of becoming global citizens which has given me a bigger view of the world and informs my perspective on life.
