Bob Trapani, the owner of Thrive By 5 PLLC, has been a pediatric occupational therapist for 39 years. He has been trained in numerous therapeutic treatment approaches including DIR/floortime, Infant Massage, SIPT, Therapeutic Listening, Solisten, and SOS Approach to Feeding. In his role as Program Director at Thrive By 5, Mr. Trapani is involved in evaluation and therapeutic service delivery for the early intervention, preschool, and school populations. The Preschool Coalition is excited to have Bob Trapani present!   

Challenging Behaviors-An Occupational Therapist’s Perspective

· Defining challenging behaviors and identifying their underlying causes

· Distinguishing sensory processing origins for behaviors

· Practical ways to address maladaptive behaviors

 

Registration is from 1-1:30 and the workshop runs from 1:30 to 3:30 in Mawhinny Hall m245. Please park in lots 1 or 19!

 

The CNY Coalition for Young Children with Special Needs is a collaborative group of educators, therapists, and evaluators who are committed to providing leadership and support for quality therapeutic and educational services for children and their families. www.cnycoalition.org The Central New York Regional Interagency Technical Assistance Team supports collaborative cross systems work at the local level and is comprised of regional state agency representatives, family and youth partners, and advocacy organizations. This training is provided with funding made available through the NYS Council on Children and Families with space provided free of charge by Onondaga Community College.
