Nancy Gabriel is a professor of Early Childhood Education at Onondaga Community College and Founder and Director West Side Nursery School. She is an invaluable member of the CNY early childhood community and has a wealth of knowledge and experience to share.
This workshop will share a multitude of successful classroom practices and strategies that address the needs of all young children, particularly those with challenging behavior. These strategies include promoting social relationships, problem-solving, positive self-peer concepts, communication skills and higher-order thinking. Come learn how teacher-child relationships play a significant role in influencing young children’s social and emotional development as well as how to encourage intrinsic motivators that every child needs to find success.
