Carpal-digital Bodywork: Treating the Hand
Fredericton, NB
July 7, 2016, 9am-2:30pm
Location: TBA
Carpal-digital Bodywork: Treating the Hand (PRE-REQUISITE“B”)
In this course we focus exclusively on the hand, its intricate anatomy, and how to help pathologies of the hand such as rheumatoid arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and injuries to the hand and fingers, including habitual overuse. We will learn to apply ‘glide and stick’ techniques, vectoring, fascial ‘moulding’, spreading techniques, and more, as we release tension and reduce inflammation in the hand and fingers. This is a wonderful addition to hand reflexology, as the techniques can be blended in the same session. But reflexology is not a pre-requisite. This is an exceptional course for bodywork therapists, massage therapists, and other practitioners who need their hands to make a living. Self-care and mutual hand releases will round out the day.
PRE-REQUISITE “B”: Any Professional Therapist (licenced for bodywork practice); OR Student of ASR Foot Reflexology; OR Foot Reflexology Certification from ANY institute (minimum 30 hours classroom plus 60 hours practicum)
Cancellation policy Course fee is non-refundable. If ASR must cancel course due to unforseen circumstances fee will be refunded.
