Prerequiste: Participants must be at least 16 years of age and in good health and physical condition. Part of the course is taught in an outdoor setting and requires greater physical activity and endurance than typical first aid training.
Duration: 40 hours - 5 days
Date: June 8th-12th 2020 (Monday - Friday), 9:00am - 5:00pm per day

Certification Earned: You will receive a 3 year certification in Advanced Wilderness & Remote First Aid, CPR level C/AED certification, and valuable skills for 72 hour outdoor survival with successful completion and mandatory attendance.
Course Description: Comprehensive First Aid & CPR techniques for those who need a higher level of training to work and respond to emergencies in isolated or wilderness settings. Training is also suitable for those who supervise or act as guides for groups of people. The course covers material in Red Cross Standard First Aid & CPR plus advanced procedures and strategies to provide extended care for more than 72 hours.
Course Inclusions: A Red Cross issued Standard First Aid textbook is included with the course.
Cancellation policy Cancellation Policy: All requests must be submitted or requested during business/office hours. Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm. Offices are closed on all statutory holidays. 4 or more business days before course start date: Transfer or Cancellation will be accepted. All requests are subject to a $25.00 + GST administration fee. Less than 4 business days before course start date: Cancellations will be accepted for transfer to another course and/or date only, no refund will be issued. See conditions for transfers below. Transfers: Transfers are valid within a 60 day period from the date of the original course booking. After 60 days all funds are forfeited and that transfer becomes invalid. Day of the course: Transfer requests on the day of the course due to a medical reason will be accepted. The candidate must notify the office on the day of the course and submit written proof (ie. medical note) within 2 business days. Without verification that this was due to illness, death or other unforseen circumstance, all funds will be forfeited. These requests are reviewed on an individual basis and may or may not result in a transfer option. After course start date: Please be aware that “no shows” or failure to attend a program constitutes an outright forfeit of all registration fees. Late Arrival for all courses: Pure Mountain Medic reserves the right to restrict allowance into class upon late arrivals of over 45 minutes from the start time of the class. ALL registration fees will be forfeited. This policy is applicable to all Pure Mountain Medic programs. Pure Mountain Medic Cancellations: In the event of a course being cancelled by Pure Mountain Medic (a division of Pure Mountain Adventure Inc.), you will be notified and you will receive a full refund on fees paid, or you will have the option to transfer to another suitable course and/or date without any administration fees. Liability Risk is inherent in First Aid, CPR and Emergency Medical services activities as it is a hands on training course. By participating in these activities it is understood that you are aware of this element of risk and accept it as an integral part of this activity. As a participant, you will not hold liable Pure Mountain Medic or it's employees.
