Dog Sports Competitor, Veterinarian, Vet Tech, Dog Trainer ... THIS is the seminar for you ....
Join Fitness & Nutrition Coach, Renea L. Dahms CDBC for this informative, hands-on one day workshop ....

8am: Building a Conditioning Program
Bring your training and performance schedule and learn how to integrate injury prevention exercises and conditioning into your schedule for the safest and most advantageous outcomes.

9am: Athletic Competition Warm-up Exercises
Many musculoskeletal injuries can be prevented with a proper warm-up. Learn how to avoid “weekend warrior” injuries for both you and your dog by understanding what the research says about why, how, and when to warm-up.

10am: Power Core Stabilization Exercises
All movement begins in the core; the abdominal and back musculature. A strong core provides a strong anchor for rear limb drive, potentially improving athletic output while decreasing the probability for injuries.

12:30pm: Front Limb Strengthening Exercises
Tight and/or weak shoulder muscles can predispose dogs to injuries including medial shoulder instability (MSI), biceps tendonitis, and wrist/paw strains and strains. Learn how to increase the strength and length of the shoulder and front limb muscles to increase muscle output while decreasing the probability of sports injuries.

2:00pm: Rear Limb Strengthening Exercises
Tight and/or weak hip, knee, and ankle muscles can redispose dogs to injuries including Iliopsoas strains, stifle injuries, and ankle flexor strains and sprains. Learn how to increase the strength and length of the muscle in the rear limb to increase muscle output while decreasing the probability for sports injuries.

3:30 pm: Conformation: Improving Topline, Reach & Drive
Weak spine stabilizing musculature can be a root cause for top line issues including roaching, rolling, and tail set. It can also be the root of decreased rear limb drive. Learn foundation core stabilization exercises that strengthen the postural musculature allowing the spine to return to its natural conformation.
