Join us to celebrate the end of CanHack 2018 - Powered by RBC with a Expo Day on Cyber Security

In an age of nonstop security breaches and hacks, understanding digital security matters more now than ever before. Recent high-profile attacks have highlighted how important it is for Canadian startups, the government and everyday citizens to strengthen their cyber security knowledge.

Partnering with the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), the DMZ at Ryerson University helped foster the next generation of cybersecurity experts through CanHack, an online competition exclusively for Canadian high school students.

Please join us on November 27th from 11:00am to 2:05pm for a full day of learning about Cyber Security.Students will also have the chance to hear from Laurie Pezzente, Senior Vice President & Chief Security Officer, Global Cyber Security at RBC and a 15-year old start-up founder Riya Karumanchi, CEO of SmartCane! Students will also have the opportunity to network with many of the industry professionals within this sector and learn more about current high school youth programs and careers in this industry from RBC them self and the chance to win some cool prizes! The first 200 students will also be getting swag! Lunch is also on us!

11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. – Registrations and networking (lunch will be provided)

12:00 to 12:30 p.m. - Opening Remarks

12:30 to 1:00 p.m. – Keynote presentation from Laurie Pezzente, Senior Vice President & Chief Security Officer, Global Cyber Security at RBC

1:00 to 1:30 p.m. – Awards ceremony 

1:30 to 2:00 p.m.– Open networking 

Teachers registering through here must also purchase tickets for their students

The CanHack Awards Ceremony will be located at 341 Yonge St, on the corner of Yonge and Gould Street, north of Dundas Square. Upon entering the Ryerson Student Learning Centre, please take the elevators all the way to the 6th floor.
