Canada and New England Travel Photography Cruise

September 26- Oct. 4, 2025

Round-trip from New York City/Brooklyn

Join professional photographer Jason P. Odell on an exciting 7-night cruise from New York as we journey to Canada and New England aboard the majestic Enchanted Princess. This all-inclusive photo cruise includes private excursions at four major destinations and on-board photography workshops where you’ll hone your travel photography techniques and image processing skills. Companions and smart-phone shooters are welcome on this tour, too!

Itinerary

  • Sept. 26: Arrive in New York City and transfer to our group hotel (we can arrange for hotel transfers, or you can choose your favorite method of transport).
  • Sept. 27: Transfer to the cruise terminal and embark on Enchanted Princess
  • Sept. 28: At sea. Join me for photography workshops onboard using Lightroom, Photoshop, smartphones, and more.
  • Sept. 29: Halifax, Canada: We’ll be met by a private photography guide to take us to the best shooting locations in Halifax, including Peggy’s Cove and the quaint town of Lunenberg.
  • Sept. 30: Saint John, Canada: Here we’ll have a private tour of St. John and the Bay of Fundy. We’ll discover picturesque neighborhoods, historical architecture, and even old cemeteries.
  • Oct. 1: At sea. Today, we’ll have more workshop content including a class on using effects filters to make your images stand out.
  • Oct. 2: Boston, MA. In Boston, we’ll utilize the hop-on hop-off trolley to take us from the cruise terminal to visit the USS Constitution, and then we’ll take a photo walk through the Old North End and back to Faneuil Hall. After lunch, you’ll be able to use the rest of our time for personal exploration of downtown Boston.
  • Oct. 3: Newport, RI. We’ll take a water taxi ashore in Newport, the central hub of Gilded Age mansions and America’s Cup yachts. We’ll visit the famous Fort Adams for photography and then visit Marble House (admission included). Return to the ship for photo sharing and cocktails.
  • Oct. 4: Disembark in New York City. You’ll want to wake up early today as we sail into New York harbor past the Statue of Liberty. It’s always a magical experience. Disembarkation and transfer to the airport to return home.
