Reflection can provoke distinctly mixed reactions on the part of learners and tutors. John Cowan and Susi Peacock hope to offer a workshop event which will nudge reactions, whatever they are, in a positive direction. We will explore tutor understandings of reflection and their hoped-for purpose and use with their learners. We will then work together with John’s extended model of reflection, supported by examples, considering in particular the potential of joined-up reflection at a programme-level. We will close by discussing or if how we might introduce joined-up reflections with our learners.

Participants will be invited to share any outstanding questions after the event with John Cowan who will undertake to respond confidentially, and to the best of his ability, within three days of the event.

Meantime, it will assist us to fine tune our programme if each person who plans to attend would complete our online form with a note of one or more questions for which they hope to have found answers within the workshop. We shall then try to adjust our plan accordingly.
