As part of the ExtraGive, Tabor Community Services is hosting The Camp Out for Homelessness at Clipper Magazine Stadium. Campers will enjoy a fun night of activities while reflecting on the seriousness of homelessness here in Lancaster County.
All campers will be Fundraising Campions for Tabor or TLC through the Extraordinary Give, and the night will be topped off by camping out on the field. The Extraordinary Give is Lancaster's largest day of online giving. For 24 hours, you can give and raise money for Tabor and TLC.
In participating, you will:

Established in 1968, Tabor’s housing services include: County-wide assessment and referral for people in housing crisis, County-wide rapid re-housing for those experiencing homelessness, emergency shelter and supportive transitional housing, homelessness prevention, specialized housing assistance for disabled persons, women exiting prison, veterans and those experiencing mental illness. Through Tabor’s Ann B. Barshinger Financial Empowerment Center for Lancaster County, financial counseling and education services include household budget and credit counseling, home ownership counseling including first time home buyers, foreclosure prevention and reverse mortgages, matched savings programs and financial literacy workshops. Programs include TLC and Beth Shalom, you may give your gift to these programs just note that the money is for these programs.
Mike McKenna, President of Tabor, will be speaking about the work that Tabor does in the community.
John Smith was homeless and is currently working towards permanent housing while staying at TLC. He is receiving case management and supportive services that is helping him towards his goal. He will be sharing his story.
