Sometimes bad things happen. Accidents, injuries, loss of a job, even death. To ignore or try to hide them will always make a bad situation even worse. But how do you tell co-workers, family members or the general public in a way that shows your concern and honesty without damaging your long-term reputation? This is the subject of this course which is designed for managers, especially in Human Relations, Public Relations, and Health and Safety.
This course will prepare PR, HR and emergency and safety staff for giving bad news to injured workers and their family or concerned others after a major accident or fatality.
Target Participants: This course is primarily intended for HR, PR and emergency staff who may be required to discuss bad news with injured workers, their family, and the media.

This course will include many activities, group work, and role playing.
After passing a final exam, students will receive a ertificate from Missouri State University.
