Join us for the 1st annual Buncombe Summit Hill Climb on Reynolds Mountain, & help your local firefighters continue their efforts to prevent loss of life & property. It will be a distance of 3.1 miles, with an increase in elevation of over 1,000 feet. All proceeds after expenses will be donated to Buncombe County fire departments to be used for fire prevention. The Buncombe Summit is not a timed event. T-shirts will be given to pre-registered climbers the day of the event. Pre-registration ends 8/31/2017. Arrive by 9 am to sign in at the registration table. The climb will begin at 10 am. Please feel welcome to wear your gear or uniform. We would like to have members of the community & all areas of emergency services represented as we climb, reaching great heights together.
