Asheville, NC - BULZiBUCKET, a popular indoor/outdoor interactive game that combines the feel of cornhole with three-tiered bucket targets, will hold it's Asheville Southern Regional Tournament at Urban Orchard Cider Co. - South Slope on Saturday, June 15th, 2019. This tournament is highlighted by a $250 guaranteed cash payout and a seeded paid entry to the winner for the 1st ever National Championship Tournament in Charlotte, NC with $1,000 of prize money at stake. BULZiBUCKET combines the game play of cornhole with a partner hacky sack assist element creating unparalleled fun and action. Tournament entry is now free and will be capped at 32 teams. Must be 18 years of age to enter or playing with a legal guardian.

 

 Top 3 teams will be paid as follows:
 
 
1st Place: $200 + Free Team Entry into National Championship

Rules and Tournament Structure: Each tournament team will consist of two players. However, individuals may register and be paired with another "free agent" player on the day of the tournament. The "Assist It" style of play will be used for all tournament competition where team scoring is permitted from hacky sack saves with the foot or body. An assist play is only permitted/legal if the contact comes with the bag outside the large bottom bucket perimeter. Contact made above any part of the bucket will not be allowed to score a point on that play. Contact made outside the large lower bucket perimeter that results in a body part continuing over top of the bucket target is allowed UNLESS that body part makes contact with the bucket target in which case the point is dead. Bucket shooting distance will be set at 15 feet. Good sportsmanship is strongly encouraged as this event is intended for fun and fellowship. Aggressive verbal and/or physical behavior will not be tolerated during this event. BulziBucket has the right to disqualify or eject a player/team that does not show respect for others and act in a sportsmanly way. Ejected players will forfeit their rights to tournament winnings regardless of stage of tournament play. This tournament will max at 32 teams and will be double elimination until a Champion is crowned. Team seeding will be done on a blind draw. Registration will begin at 12:00 pm with tournament play beginning promptly at 12:45 pm.
 
 
Parking and Getting here: The Tournament will be held on the front covered patio at Urban Orchard Cider Co. - South Slope at 24 Buxton Ave, Asheville. NC 28801. Please arrive early to find free street parking of Collier Ave, Buxton Ave, Millard Ave and Banks Ave. There is also some paid parking across from Urban Orchard.
 
 
Food and Drink: There is not a full kitchen at Urban Orchard, but there are snacks. You may pick up food at the High Test Deli on Coxe Ave or at Tasty Beverage also on Coxe Ave. The cidery has over 15 craft ciders along with guest taps from other local breweries.
 
 
Weekly Open Play BULZiBUCKET Nights: There will be 4 Thursday night "Open Play" BULZiBUCKET nights to practice for the Regional Tournament. Thursday, May 23rd, May 30th, June 6th and June 13th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
