In this 2 hour informational lecture, you will learn all the key details on how to start your own brewery from leading industry expert and Inland Empire native, Owen Williams.

Owen Williams is the co-owner of Ritual Brewing Co. in Redlands, CA and has over 20 years of experience working in the brewing industry.

Williams started as a homebrewer in 1992, and two years later started at Riverside Brewing Company where he quickly climbed the ladder advancing his way up, taking them from a small 14 bbl system to a high capacity 50 bbl system.

In 1996, Williams moved on to “BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse”, where he was their first brewer, and helped build 11 breweries and 86 restaurants. After he left BJ’s in 2008, Williams started his own consulting business and assisted in launching several independent micro-breweries.

Williams went on to teach at Cal Poly Pomona, where he taught the Beer and Culture class at the Collins College of Hospitality Management until 2012.

He has trained many award-winning brewers around the country such as Evan Price (Green Cheek Beer Co.), Jonathan Porter (Smog City Brewery), Tyler King (Brewery Rex), and David Griffiths (Ladyface Ale Companie).

In this seminar, Williams will cover the ins and outs of the brewing industry, giving you a fast track to success in starting your own brewery!

One of the main topics that will be covered is planning utilities (water, electricity, gas, sewer, and space) and equipment and materials needed for brewery startup and expansion.

A live Q&A segment will follow giving you a priceless opportunity to learn all the industry secrets, and to find all the answers you are looking for in your journey toward brewing in the competitive craft beer market.

Lastly, you will get a brewery tour from Eric Bassett, the Operations Brew Manager and Head Brewer at the award-winning Innovation Brew Works at Cal Poly Pomona.

Refreshments will be provided, so come thirsty!

We can’t wait for you to see what we have in store!
