Brainspotting is a powerful, focused treatment method that works by identifying, processing and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain, trauma, dissociation and a variety of challenging symptoms. Brainspotting is a simultaneous form of diagnosis and treatment, enhanced with BioLateral sound, which is deep, direct, powerful yet focused and containing.

 

Through lecture, live demonstration and small group practice participants will learn to do the following:

 

Define the components of Brainspotting, Utilize the techniques of "Inside Window", "Outside Window","Gazespotting", "Resource Spotting"

 

Define how Brainspotting can be appliet to Trauma, Dissociation, Sports Psychology and Somatic Conditions

 

Demonstrate the theories and practices of Brainspotting

Turning Point

Gunnar Ebbesson, LPCS MAC CDCS and Joseph Nowell, LPCS MAC NCC are the co-founders of Turning Point Counseling Services in Fairbanks, Alaska. Both Gunnar and Joseph have extensive clinical and supervisorial experience providing Trauma recovery services. Their clinic has 13 therapists and has served the Fairbanks area for 10 years, providing a holistic blend of services including Naturopathy, Mindfulness practice, Trauma Center Trauma Informed Yoga, Brainspotting, Level 1 and 2 outpatient Substance use disorder, Trauma informed Massage, Art therapy, Play therapy, and Equine therapy among others. Both are also seasoned trainers having presented throughout the state and country on issues related to trauma and addiction.
