Masterson Station Neighborhood Association Clubhouse, 328 Masterson Station Drive, Lexington, Kentucky, 40511, United States.

Bourbon, it’s one of the most talked about whiskeys today.  It’s undeniable the popularity and excitement surrounding it as a distinctive spirit. As the interest and demand for it continues to skyrocket, now more distilleries than ever are making this highly regarded and beloved product for the masses. But what do we really know about it? How can we differentiate between what is fact and fiction? And what is the difference between it and other whiskeys? Can it only be made in Kentucky? Is it just for whiskey elitists?

Join us as we appreciate the magic of America's Native Spirit and shed some light on these burning questions. For the bourbon curious or hardcore enthusiasts alike, our Bourbon 101 class will take a creative and welcoming approach to guiding you on your journey in getting to know bourbon a little bit better. And most importantly - have fun while you do it!

Our first course, Bourbon 101: An Introduction to America's Native Spirit will focus on 5 principles:
-History
-Production
-Classification of Bourbon
-Aging
-Tasting (Our favorite part!)

Throughout the interactive class, we will point out the key areas that define the unique placement of bourbon within the whiskey category. And of course we won't just talk about it; we will taste it too! As we talk through these topics we will also have a guided tasting of 5 bourbon expressions as we unravel its mysteries along the way – you know, for science!

Our 101 class will be held on Friday, February 7th at 7:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Couples, bourbon newbies, and connoisseurs welcome! A Limited 35 seats available.

Pricing will be all inclusive for the class at $35. To register, be sure to RSVP on our event page! Must register and pay online prior to event to reserve your seat.

We look forward to seeing you there!
