During her tenure as the associate director for medical & clinical operations, Dr. Thomas consistently maintained a 98% success rate on her ability to lead a successful team of healthcare professionals in the areas of productivity, education, motivation, and empowerment which has afforded her the opportunity to be the recipient of the Super Hero award, a prestigious award in which over 1,500 were nominated but only 125 were selected.

Power Pump girls, Inc.(PPG) is a social impact club whose mission is to empower women to connect and serve. PPG was founded in 2017 with the belief that women are better together, placing focus on creating intentional gatherings for women to build relationships based on community, advocacy, and service. PPG founders, Sherin Dawud and Raina Vallot, sought to address a need in their community. The need was to provide a safe space for women to come together and create something bigger than themselves.
In 2019, PPG launched “secured.”, a period equity program, aimed at eradicating the stigma of menstruation and improving quality of life during menstruation. As part of the secured. program, PPG hosts fundraisers and product drives to collect menstrual products and partners with local schools, nonprofits, and grassroots organizations to distribute the products and identify other needs of the community. The program has been hosted over 150 educational hours, and processed more than 50,000 product donations benefiting hundreds of women across the state of Louisiana. In 2020, PPG was able to participate in advocacy efforts to eliminate the Louisiana "Pink Tax" and designating the state's "Period Poverty Awareness Week" in 2022.
