The BDS devices were developed specifically to detect aerosolized Bacillus Anthracis spors at the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) in the event of an anthrax event. For this drill, we will be creating a Point of Dispensing (POD) set-up at an off-site location away from the Post Office (for drill purposes). If you are interested, please be sure to register by Friday, 2 June 2017.
Snacks will be provided for all who attend so please register so we can be sure to have enough food!
Additional information will be sent out to those who register for this event.
*Please note: volunteers may be moving/pushing items during the set-up drill. A dress code is required to ensure volunteer safety (closed-toe shoes, comfortable clothing, etc.) Also, if you have gloves or a go-bag please bring them along.
The Orange County Medical Reserve Corps (OCMRC) is a group of credentialed, organized medical and non-medical volunteers who assist during public health emergencies such as a major communicable disease outbreak, earthquake, flood, fire, or acts of terrorism. OCMRC volunteers work with the Health Care Agency to assist the local community during disasters. OCMRC also supports public health needs throughout the year by assisting in flu and other immunization clinics.
