Gannon University and Partners for Campus-Community Engagement invite you to join us for our annual regional conference connecting community-engaged practitioners from various colleges and universities. To further support our community-engaged teaching and research efforts, we invite faculty, staff, students, and community partners to share and learn best practices from our shared experiences. Attendees will have a chance to further develop their knowledge and skills surrounding community-engaged teaching and research as well as connect with many great colleagues in our realms of higher education.

PCCE Pre-Conference Event
On Thursday June 1st from 4:30 - 6:00 pm PCCE will be hosting a pre-conference event at Gannon University. The event will be sponsored and led by PCCE to engage interested conference attandees and introduce one another to the organization and mission of PCCE. Refreshments will be provided. More details will be provided as we come closer to the event, so be sure to RSVP when registering.
The Office of Academic Community Engagement (ACE) supports credit-bearing experiences that integrate service and academic inquiry. Marshaling the intellectual resources of the University towards the common good, Academic Community Engagement will build innovative bridges among students, faculty, and community agencies, enriching academic programs to be socially relevant, beneficial to the community, and supportive of excellence in teaching and learning.
Eric Hartman has dedicated his career to improving the ways in which educational institutions contribute to just, inclusive, and sustainable communities. He has written widely, including No Values, No Democracy: The Essential Partisanship of a Civic Engagement Movement in the Michigan Journal of Community Service-Learning (2013), Coloniality-Decoloniality and Critical Global Citizenship: Identity, Belonging, and Education Abroad in Frontiers: The Interdisciplinary Journal of Study Abroad (2020), With merger vote looming: Do we want universities that help us remember and reimagine Pa.? in the Pennsylvania Capital Star (2021), and a book: Community-Based Global Learning: The Theory and Practice of Ethical Engagement at Home and Abroad (Stylus Press, 2018). Hartman has served in faculty and administrative roles at a range of colleges and universities; he currently serves as Executive Director of the Haverford College Center for Peace and Global Citizenship, Co-director of the Community-based Global Learning Collaborative, and on the board of the Pennsylvania Council for International Education.
