Participant Bellingcat Online Workshop Incl. 21% VAT Partial Approval - €835.02

The ticket price is inclusive of 21% VAT and additional fees. All individuals applying for this course are subject to the Dutch VAT of 21%. If your application is paid for by a company to whom different VAT rules apply, please mention your VAT number in the registration form, after which we will send you a separate invoice. Please note that this event requires you to register before purchasing your ticket. This means you will not be required to pay before we approve the current registration request. We also include a 3% processing fee charged by credit card companies and PayPal, along with a €10 fee charged from Eventzilla. For our 2022 workshops, we increased our fees by 10% to match inflation and additional labor costs, from €200 for each 4-hour block up to €220. Thus, with these fees and the 21% VAT, each 4-hour block totals €286.65 (€1,109.21 for a 16-hour workshop, €835.02 for a 12-hour workshop)

This workshop is a beginning & advanced verification course and a beginning course in social media & individual-focused research, taking place November 2-4, from 10:00 AM to 02:00 PM CET (Amsterdam) / 05:00 AM to 09:00 AM EDT (NewYork), covering the following topics:

      • Introduction to open source investigation

      • Creative search fundamentals

      • How to conduct (nearly) traceless and anonymous/pseudonymous research

Beginning & advanced verification course:

      • Verification of user-generated materials

      • Intuitive reverse search techniques in digital investigations

      • Geolocation & chronolocation of visual materials

      • Using mapping and satellite services in investigations

Beginning social media & individual-focused research course:

    • Intro to investigating individuals and groups

    • Intro to social network-specific research (4chan/8chan, TikTok, Twitter, etc.)

    • Tracking transportation services (e.g. boats, flights) for investigations

Cancellation policy

- You will be registered as a participant only after we have received full payment of the workshop fee;

- If you cancel your registration up to one week before the start of the workshop, you will be refunded the total workshop fee, minus EUR 25 / USD 30 (administrative costs);

- If you cancel within six to two days before the start of the workshop, you will be reimbursed 50% of the workshop fee. If we are able to replace you with a waiting list candidate, then the total fee (minus Eur 25 / USD 30 administrative costs) will be refunded.
