BC Vineyard Gathering 2016 - Thrive !

 Nov 4th - 6th - REGIONAL GATHERING

"Over the last year, the topic of spiritual direction and soul care has not only been on the radar of the Canadian Vineyard, but also something that has captured the attention of the #VTribe worldwide. 

Last fall, David Ruis and Nathan Rieger were in Bangkok, Thailand meeting with our Asian Vineyard leaders and this same topic came up for discussion and reflection. Nathan had been working on a template for discipleship and spiritual formation which he shared. It not only impacted all of us, but it really captured our Vineyard essence and understanding of kingdom theology in a marvellous way.  

Simply put, it explores the trichotomy of: River; Desert; and City, shaped by the Lord’s Prayer and the beginnings of Jesus ministry beginning with his baptism; into his desert experience; and the beginnings of his public ministry in Capernaum not so much a progression of steps to spiritual maturity, this template exposes a rhythm of spiritual life which flow in and out of each other, and continue through our entire spiritual quest. We need baptism, that sense of full immersion of entire being into the love and security of the Father’s love. We will experience the desert times, where the source of the river of life is not so much external and tactile, but a deep reservoir deep within our souls that we learn to draw from when all else is dry. This spiritual journey will take us to the cities; to the places of great need where we freely give all that we have freely received.

Al three spheres of life and living need to be cultivated, re-visited and recognized for our journey to sustain, and for us to finish well. it is in these spaces that we by His grace and the Holy Spirit’s guidance will Thrive."

Nov 6th - SUNDAY MORING SERVICE - (Chilliwack Vineyard) an Open Invitation
For those who can stay - we will have a Sunday morning service together in Chilliwack as we did last year. We're still working on the details but we were able to have it video-cast over the web so each of our churches who are able to can participate with us Sunday Morning - a Province wide Gathering ! More details to follow.
