Ballet at The Tower
This shoot is being organised specifically as an offer to Focus Plus Members by Mike Hobbert.
This shoot is limited to the Shoot Leader (Mike) and 10 Photographers. First 10 photographers to book will secure the spots, and a waiting list will follow.
Mike Hobbert (Emerald Imaging) has organised to have a ballet dancer dance and pose for you, at and around The Tower (Macquarie Watchtower) at La Perouse, on Sunday Morning, the 11th of October. Mikayla will pose / dance in a full ballet outfit, for 45 minutes. 15 minutes before sunrise, and a full 30 minutes after sunrise.
From Mike… The sun will be rising over our shoulders, so the early morning light on both the tower and the dancer should be stunning just before, at and after sunrise. This is an ideal opportunity for you to shoot an arty style image, and I can’t wait to see what people come up with from this shoot. Slow shutter speeds, fast shutter speeds….anything goes on the day to get a fantastic image or images. I have a number of ideas and suggestions for some images on the morning, and on top of this, Mikayla will be happy to oblige for as many pose requests as possible during the allocated timeframe.
The cost to attend will be $20.00pp, this is the model fee.
Covid social distancing rules will apply, so please maintain a minimum distance of 1.5m away from each other.
Meet time: 5:30am for a brief on the shoot.
Shoot commences at 6:05am and will run until approximately 7:00am Sunrise is at 6:18am
Breakfast will be at THE BOATSHED, down on the water, behind the tower at 7:00am Breakfast is at your own cost, and we will adhere to the cafes seating requirements.
Disclaimer: As The Tower and the park are public areas, it is assumed people not associated with our group will jump in and take photos. As it is a public space, we won’t legally be able to stop this, but will speak with and advise people it is a private paid shoot on the morning.
As this is an outdoor shoot, the weather may affect to shoot on the day. In the event of bad weather being forecast, all shoot attendees will be notified of cancellation on Saturday 10th October, via email.
