This is a live, one-hour virtual Question/Answer session with SM school expert, Jennifer Brittingham, M.A., LPC. Topics of discussion can and will focus on how to decide to if a virtual, hybrid, or in-person school schedule is the best decision for your child communicatively, how to implement social communication strategies remotely, preparing for entry back to school if and when possible, and regression prevention.
International expert Dr. Elisa Shipon-Blum and her dedicated team provide a supportive, comprehensive center that addresses the needs of the child, teen, and young adult with Selective Mutism and related challenges. Dr. Shipon-Blum developed Social Communication Anxiety Treatment® or S-CAT®, the evidenced-based treatment program exclusively used at the SMart Center, has been used to successfully treat over 6,000 individuals worldwide. Selective Mutism and related social communication anxiety disorders are widely misunderstood. As a result, individuals suffering from these issues are frequently misdiagnosed and mismanaged.
