Cyber-Hardened, Resilient Industrial Infrastructure - Systems Platform (CRIISP) Design

Abstract:  The systems platform is a standardized, secure, and scalable network designed to enable cyber protection and defense of critical infrastructure control and operational technology (OT) systems.  The design implements  Risk Management Framework controls, adheres to Unified Facilities Criteria, and integrates with the U.S. Air Force Civil Engineer Center’s Community of Interest Network Enclave (COINE).   This presentation will focus on a real network design and installation project and illustrate solutions to complex cyber problems like zero-trust,  near-real-time detection of anomalies, and convergence of traditional IT and OT  -- all focused on providing assured operation of critical operational technologies during cyber attacks.

Jeff Robertson, CISSP, is currently a Senior Manager for Cybersecurity of Operational Technology with Tetra Tech.  He has over 10+ years of DoD experience in cyber security and defense solutions; particularly with high-availability, resilient operational technology (OT).  He was recognized as a DoD subject matter expert in OT cybersecurity and drove next-generation solutions across the U.S. Air Force enterprise, securing operations for survivable and endurable DoD critical industrial infrastructure and facilities sustaining responsive and effective combat operations on a global basis.
