Course Fees:
· A $25 deposit is required to secure a seat in the class.
· All additional fees will be prepaid on the day of the course. We cannot accept credit cards in person.
· If paying for more than one person please be certain to provide names and email addresses for each individual attendee.
· A PayPal account is required for registration. Credit cards cannot be accepted directly at this time.
All fees are non-refundable within 10 days of the date of the course. If unable to attend, registrant may apply any fees paid to one future course.
Topics covered during the four (4) hour course include:
· Basic Handgun Safety
· Handgun Parts and Operation
· Handgun Shooting Fundamentals
· Holsters and Safe Concealment Considerations
· Utah BCI Regulatory Duties
· Utah Codes on Justification of Force
· Concealed Firearm Permit Restrictions
· Travelling and Transporting Firearms and Ammunition
· Federal Firearms Regulations
· Reciprocity and Recognition
Each student will be provided with the following:
· Completed, signed and stamped application
· Completed fingerprint card
· Passport style photo
· Photocopy of Driver’s License and Virginia CHP (if applicable)
· Addressed envelope to Utah BCI
· Certificate of Completion for VA CHP (if needed)
The application fee of $49 is not included with this course and will need to be submitted to Utah BCI either by check or filling in credit card information on the application.
Students have one year from date of course to submit the application.
The Utah Concealed Firearm Permit is valid for five (5) years with a renewal fee of $15.
Loaded firearms are not permitted in the class.
