More Stories From 44th, 45th & 46th Streets

The Experience:

If you joined for our Shubert Brothers & Beyond Tour you will have a taste of all the stories from these busy blocks of Broadway. Your guide, Tim Dolan of Broadway Up Close, is back to shine a spotlight on all the theaters we didn’t cover the last time we explored the heart of the theatre district. From the true origins of the Tony Awards to some zany stories of “things gone wrong” during the French Revolution of Les Misérables, this hour-long experience is sure to get your new year started with some history and fun!

Upon registration you will receive an email from our streaming partner with a unique link to access your online experience at the appointed date and time. Do not forward it; it contains your personal access link. One registration per concurrent device.

Instructor Bio:

Tim moved to the Big Apple shortly after graduating high school to pursue a career in the arts. On the small screen, Tim was featured on Season Two of HBO's Boardwalk Empire. Onstage, Tim was the Dance Captain in the Off-Broadway revival of Once Upon A Mattress starring Jackie Hoffman and John "Lypsinka" Epperson. He also performed as Abraham in the long-running hit musical Altar Boyz. His other acting credits include the National Tours of Altar Boyz and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes as well as numerous regional credits. He is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association. As an arts educator Tim was on faculty at Rosie's Theatre Kids, Rosie O'Donnell's arts organization for many years. Combining his storytelling skills as an actor, and his love for Broadway history, Tim created Broadway Up Close Walking Tours in 2010. Over the past decade the company has established six different tour experiences including an interior tour of Broadway’s oldest theater, the Hudson. In 2019 he opened a freestanding gift shop in the middle of Times Square that offers custom, unique Broadway merchandise. And putting his love of Broadway marquees at the forefront, Tim created the BROADWAY sign that is quickly becoming a Times Square staple.
