This workshop (10 a.m. – Noon) is designed for elected officials. The objective is to provide an advanced introduction to asset management to support decision-making.
The workshop will cover concepts such as line of sight; integration of strategic plans with asset management policies and plans; levels of service; the decision-making and investment planning process; understanding asset risks and their mitigation; and discussing how Council and staff can work optimally to maximize a municipality’s asset and capital planning.
Asset Management Ontario (AMONTario) is a centre of excellence and innovation for public sector asset management across the Province of Ontario. It is a multi-disciplinary community of practice for public infrastructure stewards to strengthen asset management capabilities through practices that align international standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices to optimize public services.
